Lets Try This Again..

Third time's the charm, right?

Okay, maybe this is the fourth of fifth attempt, but who's really counting anyways?

"Start a Blog" has been on my bucket list, to-do list, 21 in 21 list, and every other list for years now. I guess I have "started a blog" a few times, but I have yet to "keep said blog up and running". So, here I am, yet again, sitting at my {new} computer, writing a blog entry.

The truth is, I love writing and I love sharing. Yet, every time I go to start this journey, something gets in my way. Usually it's myself. Some lame excuse, I got too busy, my computer was slow, there was nothing to write about.. Ultimately, I think it's always been fear that has gotten in my way. Fear that I'll say the wrong thing, or even worse, write something that nobody connects with and that this blog page will be a bust before it even starts.

For those of you who don't know me, and somehow just stumbled onto my page, and actually, really anyone who has read this far.. Hey - thanks for being here! I am Hannah Willits (it's going to take some getting used to that..) and I am 29 (ugh, but I seriously almost wrote 23). I live in Center Barnstead, NH - which is actually the same as Barnstead, NH.. But, for some reason this town has decided to be extra confusing and be called two different things. I married my husband (yep, still getting used to that too) in September, 2021 after knowing each other for just two years. I say "just", but it seems like when you date after 25, two years is kind of a normal quart-ship. We have a dog named Kona - she is named after a brewery in Hawaii, and she was named before I met Kalen, who actually grew up in Hawaii (I'll get into that another time).

I love to hike, read and take photos, although, I must admit I do none of those things as often as I would like. I'm currently planning some spring/summer hikes in the White Mountains of NH and hope to finish my "NH 48" in the next 3 years (I just put that timeline on my goal right this minute). I enjoy ice fishing with my dad on Northwood Lake, where in the summer, I spend time swimming, kayaking and enjoying precious moments with family and friends.

My husband and I are in the process of renovating our home (more stories, pictures and tips later), which we purchased on October 30, 2021. Yep, we bought a fixer-upper in the middle of a global pandemic when housing prices were outrageous and every house had a bidding war. We also were those people who moved in the day of closing and then looked around and wondered what the fuck we were thinking as we ate Chinese food on an air mattress in our living room, surrounded by ALL of our belongings.

This will be a place where I share all sorts of things from stories of my adventures, beauty tips, frustrations about the world, excitement, the books I am reading and more. I can't wait to share more with you! I hope you'll subscribe to this blog and get updates every time I post!
